Teacher Education Programs Drop-In Advising

Purpose:
Our drop-in advising sessions are designed for quick questions and application support that can be completed in 10–15 minutes. These sessions are ideal for students who need guidance on program applications, have questions about requirements, or want clarification about next steps.

Format:

• Virtual via Zoom – join from anywhere
• First-come, first-served – no appointment necessary for drop-in sessions
• Staff Support: Connect directly with the Recruitment Specialist

Who Can Attend:

• Prospective applicants to: 
  • Early Childhood Special Education ( SPED-TEP ) | UW College of Education
  • Elementary Teacher Education Program (ELTEP) | UW College of Education
  • High-incidence Disabilities Teacher Education ( SPED-TEP ) | UW College of Education
  • Seattle Teacher Residency (STR) | UW College of Education
  • Secondary Teacher Education Program (STEP) | UW College of Education
  • UW Accelerated Certification for Teachers (U-ACT) | UW College of Education

Additional Support:

• Students can also schedule one-on-one appointments Monday–Friday for more in-depth advising or questions that require longer discussion by emailing uwteach@uw.edu.

• Duration: ~10–15 minutes per student
